Description
Earth Resistance Meter Verifier / Grounding Simulator Ensure the Accuracy of Earth Resistance Meters of Any Brand or Model. What is it For?
The Earth Resistance Meter Verifier and Grounding Simulator manufactured by Allnec are designed to certify the accuracy of earth resistance meters of any brand or model. It helps clarify doubts about divergent measurements between two or more devices.
How Does it Work?
Simply connect one of the verifier’s probe ends to the neutral. From this moment, at the other end, a grounding with the value described on the device label, 10 ohms, will be simulated. Then, just touch the probe or alligator clip of the earth resistance meters to the verifier’s end.
The earth resistance meter to be verified should measure a value close to the verifier, which is 10 ohms.
Except for small measurement variations, if it measures a value significantly different from the simulated 10 ohms, it indicates that the device has discrepancies and should be sent to a laboratory for proper calibration.
Small variations due to each neutral should be disregarded, as they can vary from 0.3 to 1.5 ohms depending on the conditions of the utility’s transformer.
